In order to enable your spam protection on your cPanel, follow the guideline:

  1. Log in to your account in our Clients Area: https://billing.hostens.com/clientarea

  2. Choose your Web Hosting(cPanel) service;

  3. Press the button “Access Control Panel” on the left menu and then the button “Click here to access control panel“.

Once you get into your cPanel menu, you can simply find “Email” section and choose “Apache SpamAssassin” option. After that, you should see the following menu:

In order to enable the spam protection, you simply need to press the first button “Enable Apache SpamAssassin“. The page of confirmation will be displayed and the spam protection will be active from that point.

The Apache SpamAssassin evaluates every email you received on a variety of factors and assigns a grade from 1 (unlikely a spam) to 10 (most likely spam). You can enable the “Auto-delete” function, which automatically deleted all the emails you received, which were graded with a specific number (for example 6). So if the email is evaluated 6 or more, it will be deleted automatically, if the received email is evaluated less than 6 it will be delivered to your mailbox.

In order to use this option, you simply need to select a “Score” and then press “Auto-Delete Spam“. The confirmation page will be displayed after this.

Note. There is additional configurations regarding “Apache SpamAssassin“, but we will not talk about it in this article.
