SSL Certificate helps to protect website visitors’ data since all information between visitors’ browser and the webserver is sent encrypted. The complexity of data encryption will prevent illegal decryption of information even with the most powerful tools. Nowadays such protection is necessary for all commercial websites.

For our clients, we do offer these SSL Certificates

So the SSL Certificate for the domain (website) to be issued a client should do some initial steps on its end:

The encryption method of all types of certificates is the same, however, some types of certificates have more difficult issuance procedures and some restrictions.

Types of SSL Certificates.

Domain validated:

This type of certificate provides basic information protection. So that this SSL Certificate to be issued only the domain ownership should be verified. Verification of this certificate type is done automatically.

  • Positive SSL – this certificate intended to protect a single domain or subdomain. This certificate will also protect the domain’s “www” subdomain;

  • Positive SSL SAN – this certificate can protect up to 3 different domains or subdomains. While ordering only the primary domain should be specified. A client will receive a request for other 2 domains/subdomains specification at the time of its issuance;

  • Positive SSL Wildcard – this type of certificate protects one domain and all its subdomains.

Organization Validated:

This type of certificate is intended for small and medium business websites. During the issuance, the rights of the legal entity to use the domain and the details of the company that ordered the certificate are checked. Due to it the issuance of this certificate takes longer than the issuance of the “Domain Validation” certificates. In this case, the certificate issuer will check all necessary organization details in the public databases.

  • GeoTrust True BusinessID SAN – this certificate can protect up to 5 different domains or subdomains. While ordering only the primary domain should be specified. A client will receive a request for other 4 domains/subdomains specification at the time of its issuance;

  • GeoTrust True BusinessID Wildcard – this type of certificate protects one domain and all its subdomains.

Extended Validation:

This type of certificate can be issued only after a thorough inspection of the organization and domain ownership and takes the longest time comparing with the other type of certificates. Organization details will be check-in public databases, also the certificate issuer will contact the organization representative person using in public databases found contacts. Intended only for organizations.

  • GeoTrust True BusinessID with EV – This certificate intended to secure one domain or subdomain. This certificate will also protect the domain’s “www” subdomain;

  • GeoTrust True BusinessID SAN with EV – This certificate can protect up to 5 different domains or subdomains. One, the primary domain is specified while ordering, others should be specified later, at the time of its issuance.
