Installing SSL Certificate to Shared Hosting (cPanel)

Installing SSL No matter, if you ordered an SSL certificate using our system or from somewhere else, you can easily install it into our Shared Hosting server. If you ordered a certificate from, first of all, you need to issue it. If you have ordered from somewhere else, jump to the paragraph “Installing a certificate on the shared hosting

If a certificate has been purchased from us:

1. Log in to your Clients Area page: https://billing.hostens.com/clientarea;

2. On the left menu, press “SSL Certificates“. Here you need to configure the certificate;

3. First of all, you need to generate CSR that can be generated with many free tools on the internet. Hostens recommends: https://www.gogetssl.com/online-csr-generator/

Note. When generating CSR, please do not forget to save both CSR and more important – Private Key. You will never be able to check it again if you do not save it.

4. Once you have generated CSR key, please come back to the client area and paste CSR and press the button “Continue”:

5. Fill in all Organization and Contact details. Also, selection email address. This email should be active as a confirmation email will be sent:

6. After all press “Save changes”. Check an email in your selected mailbox as confirmation should come immediately. The preparation of files can take up to 15 minutes. Be patient to wait for it;

7. Go back to the client area and choose Services > SSL Certificates. select your certificate. You need to download Cert and CA Bundle keys. Save it for later:

Installing a certificate on the shared hosting

1. Choose Services > Web Hosting and then choose your Shared Hosting package and select “SSL/TTL Status”. If any certificate is already installed, press “Exclude from AutoSSL”:

2. Go back to the main menu and select “SSL/TTL”. Click on the last link “Manage SSL sites” and select a domain:

3. Go down to the paragraph “Install an SSL Website”:

4. Paste all saved keys. If CRT is correct you will see this notification:

5. After pasting just press the button “Install Certificate”. If everything goes correctly, you see this message:

6. Once this is done, you will have to wait a bit and your certificate will be installed. You will be able to check it with 3rd party tools like
