ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) and organization that manages all the domain names with extensions like .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz and some others requires that the details of domain owner would be correct.

The confirmation email is sent to the owner’s contact email address. This email contains a simple confirmation link. It also shows your details, such as contact email address, First and Last names. If these details are correct, you simply press “Verify Information” and it is done.

If you do not confirm that your domain details are correct within 15 days after the first email is sent (4 confirmation emails are sent in total), the domain will get suspended and your domain status will be set as “ClientHold“. This information can be checked at any WHOIS tool, like:

Solution

In case you have missed the email and did not confirm it you will find your domain not working. You will need to update your WHOIS information or contact us and the new email will be sent.

Note. This can happen to all domains that you can register at Hostens, except for “.eu“.
